Dress code
For lack of a better term, let's call it "summer chic". However, unlike some famous German nightclubs we won't be employing a bouncer, so please wear whatever you feel comfortable and fabulous in.
For some context, you'll typically find weddings guests in Germany wearing a suit (with or without a tie), cocktail dress, or dressy jumpsuit. Temperatures in Munich in July can exceed 30°C (85°F). But colder, rainy days down to 15°C (59°F) are also not uncommon. We advise to check the weather report beforhand!
Food
Please let us know your choice of menu (meat, fish, vegetarian, or vegan) as well as any allergies or dietary restrictions via the RSVP form. There will be a "midnight snack" help keep you going late into the evening.
Gifts
We recognize that many of you are traveling from afar to celebrate with us. Having you there on our special day is truly the greatest present we could ask for!
However, for those looking for ideas, we (and our Munich apartment) kindly ask that you refrain from physical gifts. Instead, a contribution to our honeymoon in Calabria would help make our two weeks there extra memorable. In case you'd like to use direct deposit or PayPal, enter your e-mail address below to receive the details.
Munich
For general information about the city and current happenings we recommend the official city website.
To get you started, we've also compiled a map with some of our favorite spots.
Venue
Villa Flora is a historic, two-story villa built in 1874 in the Biedermeier style. It is located in Munich's Sendling-Westpark district, which was a rural area outside of the city limits at the time of construction.
There is a large, shaded outdoor area that we'll use for the ceremony, dinner, and everything in between. From 10:00 pm at the latest (city rule), we will be primarily inside the neighboring event space for the party with a dance floor, open bar, and DJ. A quiet space will be available in the villa itself for anyone needing a break, child or adult.
